"Everybody says you're on top of the world, but i know the truth // You're a sick sad son of a gun, and in your right hand is a one way ticket to hell" - Eatmewhileimhot!, "The Two-Armed Man"
Bleh. I hate being sick.
But i think by today ive made progress with this strep throat thing. It happens to be a lot better, but its terribly annoying.
Theres another thing on my heart that i find quite annoying.
People who i know that love jesus, that just cant seem to get enough of themselves.
I'm trying not to sound snobbish or come off rude, but sometimes people just dont know how they appear to everyone else. Although i wont say names, it happens to a few people. I know the intent in their heart is not to show off (or it might be... but thats for another time), but it just so happens that the glorify themselves or their talents before God. Their ego just takes control of them. They have to appear as if they mean everything to everyone.
If you happen to be reading this post just because, i challenge you to take a look at your attitude. Do you find yourself praising yourself for doing something for others or the good of a community? The credit, and praise, should be given to that dude, who's chillin upstairs on the throne.
I love quoting bible verses for my posts, so here's another one I'll use from Jeremiah 9:24. "But let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
Dont boast in yourself, guys. Give it all to the Lord.
May this be on your heart,

Who Has Time For This Stuff, Anyway?
"Watch it all change and watch it go away // Watch it all never be the same again."
- Norma Jean, "Deathbed Athiest"
Well hello followers! I know its been a pretty long time since i've posted here. Blogging! Phew. I remember i made this thing a pretty long time ago out of boredom because school was being whack and i just felt like getting some ideas out. But its been a few months and i think i'll start this up again.
For anyone new to this, I'll be posting occasionally about a few wonderous things in life. Those being: Music, Love, and my homeboy Jesus. Im fairly passionate about all three of those things. As you can tell, i open with a lyric that would be the hypothetical 'thesis' to a post.
Today: Norma Jean, a band comprised of christians. Good metal music, alot of their newer album (what this is) is a bit less hardcore. For those who cant really stand that. Anyway, the part of the song i'm focusing on is where he sings about change.
Its a common occurance every day. Change. Not just pocket change or 'Obama' change, but the change of ideas we have about certain things. Feelings we feel. Towards things and other people. I know a lot of change has happened to me since the end of the last post i posted. Mostly good, not too much bad. I figure im a better person now than i ever have been before. But the question here today is who are we changing for?
Many change who they are for other people.
Some bfred advice of the day: Changing who you are for someone else is toxic. But instead, change should be made for God, led by God. If we dont let God into our lives to lead change, we're simply doing it wrong.
As a solid bible example, Romans 12:2 says, "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect."
So dont change for anyone, but let God be a driving force of change for the improvement of your life. And it will surely be pleasing and perfect.
